The University of Guelph continues to shine globally, with the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) ranked 11th globally in Veterinary Sciences in the 2025–26 Shanghai Rankings. OVC remains #1 in Canada, reinforcing its reputation for excellence in veterinary education and research.
This strong performance reflects OVC’s commitment to world-class faculty, impactful research, and international collaboration. Faculty leadership in global research organizations and top-tier journals, combined with cutting-edge research outputs, are key drivers behind this ranking.
U of G also excelled in related fields, with Food Science and Technology ranked 18th globally and #1 in Canada, and Agricultural Sciences at 43rd worldwide. These achievements highlight the University’s strength in areas critical to animal health, food security, and sustainable agriculture.
