Going Green

    Getting Around Sustainably

Support more sustainable ways of getting to and around campus by exploring our Going Green options. This section highlights electric vehicle charging, local transit connections, and active transportation choices like bikes, e-bikes, and scooters.

    Charging Station Rules

    • EV spaces may be used only while the vehicle is actively charging (must be drawing current).
    • Time limits apply in some locations:
      • 4‑hour maximum: P4, P12, P23, P31
      • No time limit: P15, P48, P49, P30, P59
    • Parking in an EV space when not charging or after exceeding the time limit is a policy violation.
    • When charging is complete, you must move your vehicle to a regular parking space.
    • EV charging spaces operate on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
    • Drivers without an EV permit may use EV charging spaces by paying through paybyphone or HONK.
    • University fleet EVs may use charging stations without a parking permit.
