How to Cancel Your Parking Permit

If you no longer require your parking permit, you can request a cancellation using the process outlined below. Review the cancellation information carefully, as refund eligibility and effective dates may vary depending on your permit type.

Contact Information
Requester’s Name, Phone Number, Email & Mailing Address
University of Guelph Identification
Employee/Student ID
Vehicle Information
Permit Number & Vehicle License Plate Number

Cancellation Process

  • Fill out the Permit Cancellation Form if you no longer require your permit.
  • Refunds (when applicable) are processed at the end of the month if submitted mid‑month.

Refund Rules

  • Not all permits are refundable (check the Parking Policy & Regulations).
  • Refunds are issued by calendar month.
  • Cancellation must be submitted before the 1st of the month to receive a refund for that month.
  • Email confirmation will be sent once processed (may take 2–3 weeks).
