Why Biological and Medical Physics?
This major combines the best of both worlds: the University of Guelph’s strength in the biological sciences and physics concepts applied to healthcare and medical field advancements, through courses like Biophysics of Excitable Cells, Radioactivity and Radiation Interactions, Molecular Biophysics, and Clinical Applications of Physics in Medicine.
Students in the BMPH program may also be interested in studying Biomedical Science, Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Physical Science, Physics, Theoretical Physics, or other majors.
Gain Valuable Experience Through Co-op
Biological and Medical Physics co-op is a five-year program, which includes five work terms. This co-op prepares students for their work terms by helping them develop professional attitudes and skills expected in the workplace as well as helping to build a toolkit of resume and cover letter writing as well as interview skills.
