How to Apply

This program is designed for students who are passionate about innovation in dairy processing and looking to advance their careers or are seeking employment in the rapidly growing dairy sector. Courses are targeted to learning about enhancing the quality, efficiency, food safety, traceability, and sustainability of dairy products across the world. Successful applicants will have proven competency in undergraduate science coursework or equivalent industry experience.

Application to this program is more like the process of a job application (rather than the process you went through applying for your undergrad degree). You apply directly online at Applying to Guelph and a faculty advisor is not required for this course-based program. More details on the U of G graduate program application process here.

All applications will be received and reviewed by the MDTM Program Committee and will be evaluated based on:

  • Academic performance in a relevant field of study
  • Minimum B- admission average 
  • Two (2) referee assessments
  • Supplemental document including a statement of interest in the program along with any resume or CV details related to the program of study
  • Successful applicants must also meet U of G's English Proficiency requirements for admission. If an applicant’s first language is not English, an English Language Proficiency test will be required.

Applications (for Fall 2023 entry) are due by May 31, 2023.
