Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance Presents:

Profiling Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance-funded KTT-Research projects and building capacity around advancing the science of KTT.  Learn from keynote speaker Dr. Laurens Klerkx, of Wageningen University as he discusses the contribution of agricultural innovation systems in advancing the science of KTT and hear from Drs. Erin Nelson, Ataharul Chowdhury, and David Kelton of University of Guelph as they share insights from their Alliance-funded KTT research projects.

For full agenda and registration details, visit the following link [1].

This online presentation is a great opportunity to hear about the Dutch school of agricultural innovation studies that has influenced capacity development and extension study and practice - the panel includes our own Dr. Ataharul Chowdhury and a graduate of our PhD in Rural Studies program (Dr. Erin Nelson). Students will be able to hear Dr. Klerkx explain the concepts of AIS and how they evolved and apply in today's agricultural and agri-food systems. As well these concepts are of interest to anyone involved in stakeholder analysis, organizational learning and change and collaborative leadership.

About Us

The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD) brings together major academic fields concerned with creating strong communities, in Canada and around the world. The four highly respected programs in SEDRD share many common goals but approach them in different and complementary ways. This model reflects the imperatives in building authentic communities where planners, landscape architects, communicators, and citizens all play important interdependent roles in community strength.
