Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Why I should attend Research Lab Managers' Boot Camp?
Our universities are producing talented young scientists who are conducting world class research but, these talented scientists are rarely trained in management skills. This exposes them to variety of challenges when they start an independent lab as a young investigator, or manage it as post doc or a lab manager. This is particularly true for some major grants that require a business like structure and management of the resources. Trainings, such as this boot-camp can help saving time and resources for productive research instead of correcting mistakes.
Q2. I am a graduate student, will this benefit me?
There will be something for everyone whether you are a grad student, staff, a faculty member, supervising or managing a research lab or will be in this role in the near future.
Q3. I am a student at an other Canadain University, can I attend this event?
