How it Works

While attending Seneca College, you are still a University of Guelph student, who has been given special permission to take courses at Seneca College, which count towards your U of G degree. For this reason, you pay University of Guelph tuition and fees when you register for XSEN courses. The University pays Seneca College for their services, on your behalf. You will be assigned a Seneca student ID number and e-mail address to use while you attend Seneca College. For further information regarding the winter Seneca semester, see below.

Seneca Semester

To register for Seneca courses, simply select XSEN courses using WebAdvisor during the University’s Winter Course Selection Period. After U of G’s Course Selection Period, your student information will be sent to Seneca to register you there for the winter semester. Once registered at Seneca, you will receive an e-mail with your Seneca student number and Seneca e-mail account (e.g., userid@myseneca.ca). Follow the provided instructions on how to activate your Seneca e-mail account and set your password via MySeneca. Once you have your Seneca students number and e-mail account set up, you will be able to access your Seneca Winter timetable via Student Home (roughly the equivalent of U of G’s WebAdvisor system), once it has been released to Seneca students. The tentative schedule is normally available at the end of November or beginning of December.

NOTE: Seneca schedules can CHANGE! So double check your schedule on Student Home prior to the start of the winter semester.
