GenEQ Community Outreach

  1. U of G Homepage
  2. Past Programs & Events

In 2019, members of the GenEQ team attended a community poster session event co-sponsored by Women Go Further at Loblaw Inc. and Women Get On Board geared at connecting, promoting and empowering women in the workplace. At this event, GenEQ members learned about private sector initiatives supporting women employees. This event also raised awareness of how to align the committee’s work with broader gender equity initiatives such as the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEP) and the Tri-Council’s developing made-in-Canada Dimensions charters, which stems from the Athena SWAN charter.
