Genus Hemisturmia Townsend, 1927

HEMISTURMIA Townsend, 1927: 262 (as Humisturmia, in error; see p. 316 for correct spelling). Type species: Hemisturmia carcelioides Townsend, 1927, by original designation [Neotropical].
PSEUDOLOMYIA Reinhard, 1962a: 175. Type species: Pseudolomyia scissilis Reinhard, 1962, by original designation.

parva (Bigot, 1889).– British Columbia to Vermont, south to California, Mexico, Mississippi, and New Jersey (S&A, 1965), Québec, District of Columbia, Florida (CNC), West Virginia (WVU).
– Phorocera parva Bigot, 1889: 260. Type data: holotype male [not female as published] (BMNH). Type locality: "Rocky Mountains."
– Phorocera tortricis Coquillett, 1897: 103. Type data: holotype male (USNM). Type locality: USA, Missouri.
