Genus Voria Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830

VORIA Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830: 195. Type species: Voria latifrons Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (= Tachina ruralis Fallén, 1810), by monotypy [Palearctic].
PLAGIA Meigen, 1838: 201. Type species: Tachina verticalis Meigen, 1824 (= Tachina ruralis Fallén, 1810), by subsequent designation of Rondani, 1856: 69 [Palearctic].

aurifrons (Townsend, 1892).– Michigan to Massachusetts, south to Illinois and Virginia (S&A, 1965), British Columbia to Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, also Iowa (CNC).
– Plagia aurifrons Townsend, 1892d: 67. Type data: holotype male (SEMK). Type locality: USA, Pennsylvania.

ruralis (Fallén, 1810).– Europe, British Columbia, United States southeast to Mississippi and District of Columbia, Mexico (S&A, 1965), Transpalearctic (Richter & Wood, 1995), Yukon, Northwest Territories, Alberta to Newfoundland and Nova Scotia (CNC).
– Tachina ruralis Fallén, 1810: 265. Type data: lectotype male (NHRS), by designation of Crosskey, 1973: 164 (mention of "Ht" by Townsend, 1939a: 402, is not a lectotype fixation because the specimen in question is not distinguishable from the other specimens in the type series). Type locality: Sweden, Skåne, Esperöd.
