Go PHYS Girl

Join Us!

The University of Guelph’s Women in Engineering and Physics Outreach teams are so excited to welcome you to campus for this year’s event on Saturday, November 29, 2025.  In response to high demand, this November’s Go PHYS Girl will run thrice: one session in the morning (grade 7 & 8) and two in the afternoon (grade 7 & 8, grade 9 & 10). Go PHYS Girl is designed for girls and gender diverse students, with the goal of spending a few hours on campus to learn about the incredible world of physics and future career opportunities. As a bonus, Royal City Science and Guelph Physics will have their inflatable planetarium!  At this event, attendees will be exploring Indigenous teachings of the night sky and physics of the cosmos in the planetarium.

This is a popular event and often fills up, so register now to guarantee your spot. Registration opens the last week of October.

I think this is a great opportunity for kids to experience complicated topics like physics to show them how much fun it really is. It makes it less scary for them when planning their future. My youngest who is in grade 5 is excited for her turn to go to these events when she is in grade 7 so please continuing doing these events!
