Required Qualifications:
Applicants must:
a) be enrolled in a Chemistry PhD program (an emphasis in physical chemistry is preferred), b) have completed a B.SC. degree in chemistry, c) have experience running NMR, Raman, UV-VIS and FTIR spectrometers, d) have experience teaching in chemistry laboratories, e) be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching, f) be able to demonstrate an ability to create and maintain a safe work place, and g) be able to demonstrate previous satisfactory teaching performance. Applicants must be able to provide documentation indicating they have completed the following training programs: Lab Safety Training (EHS), WHMIS Training (EHS), Worker Health & Safety Awareness (EHS), Accessible Service Provision (CourseLink) and Making Education Accessible (CourseLink)
Selection of successful candidates will be made in accordance with Article 11.04 of the CUPE 3913-1 collective agreement. Assignments to particular courses will be made in accordance with departmental needs and procedures.
