-Conducting writing consultations with students writing in French -Assisting in promoting French Language Support and writing workshops, as required (making in-class announcements, liaising with instructors & faculty) -Assisting in producing writing resources, as required -Participating in unit projects/tasks, as required -Attending training sessions and meetings, as required
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Please submit the following with your application: 1. A cover letter in English is required as a demonstration of your writing skills. The cover letter must describe how you meet the required and preferred qualifications. 2. Your CV or resume 3. A 3-5 page sample of a recent academic assignment written in French. Qualifications: -Registration in a graduate program at the University of Guelph -Exemplary writing and communication skills -Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism -Experience helping students with their writing, either in English or in French -Experience presenting in front of groups
Preferred Qualifications: 
-Experience teaching writing in a writing centre environment -Experience offering one-on-one consultations (e.g., tutoring, counselling, advising on writing) -Experience assessing French writing as a GTA or sessional instructor -Experience working with students in French -Although lack of availability for both Fall and Winter semesters should not preclude candidates from applying, preference will be given to candidates available for both semesters.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
-You must be available to attend the mandatory training at the beginning of the semester (Sept. 3-4) -Hours are scheduled weekdays between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., with the possibility of some evening work -Hours are scheduled in 3-hour shifts -To allow for flexibility in scheduling, we ask that applicants have availability on at least 3 different days of the week -This assignment is for two semesters. Continuation in the position after a two-month probationary period is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by a performance review.
