Required Qualifications:
• As per the Collective Agreement, must be enrolled as a student in the Winter 2021 semester.
• Must have an advanced understanding of User Interface (UI) Design and/or User Experience (UX), and a strong knowledge of the principles of design.
• Must have experience designing and developing websites for academic or non-academic purposes.
• Must have excellent writing skills and be able to effectively critique (in writing) student assignments.
• Must have the ability to communicate design principles and development processes effectively, both in written form and verbally.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience supporting this or similar courses.
• Experience with sketching interactions and storyboarding.
• Experience with paper and/or rapid prototyping.
• Familiarity with interface components (e.g., Atomic Design).
• Experience with design applications such as Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq, or Adobe tools.
• Experience with conducting user studies and/or usability evaluations.
• Familiarity with colour theory and Gestalt concepts.
• Familiarity with usability, heuristic evaluations, and accessibility.
• Experience with creating and using personas in design.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CIS*2170 (User Interface Design) subject area through course development or having recently taken a similar undergraduate or graduate course.
