Required Qualifications:
Applicants must:
a) Be enrolled in a Chemistry graduate program,
b) Have completed a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry or a related field,
c) Have experience teaching in chemistry laboratories,
d) Be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching,
e) Be able to demonstrate previous satisfactory teaching performance,
f) Be able to demonstrate an ability to create and maintain a safe work place,
g) Have TA'd CHEM*1040 and CHEM*1050 in a previous semester, and
h) Applicants must also be able to provide documentation indicating they have completed the following training programs: Lab Safety Training (EHS), WHMIS Training (EHS), Worker Health & Safety Awareness (EHS), Accessible Service Provision (CourseLink) and Making Education Accessible (CourseLink).

By applying for this work assignment, you are agreeing to be available on campus from the start of the contract to complete all assigned duties, available to attend all mandatory meetings, complete accurate and consistent marking by assigned deadlines with written feedback, invigilate and grade exams, and be available to the end of the contract to invigilate and grade final exams. Although every effort will be made to assign TAs to their preferred laboratory section days/times, we cannot guarantee to meet your preference. You should be prepared to accept any available laboratory section, except for incidences when an assignment conflicts with a graduate course for which you are enrolled.
Selection of successful candidates will be made in accordance with Article 11.04 of the CUPE 3913-1 collective agreement. Assignments to particular courses will be made in accordance with departmental needs and procedures.
