Other Duties Described: 
Attending seminars and directing discussion. Assisting with course development and evaluation. No teaching experience required. Participate in and lead discussions, both when the faculty instructor is present and otherwise. Provide input into presentation content and delivery.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
- Enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Guelph. - Masters related to field (i.e., MPH) - The candidate will have a strong background in public health and infectious diseases, with an emphasis on public health communications. - The candidate will have strong communication skills to participate in and lead discussions, both when the faculty instructor is present and otherwise. - The course is based largely on student seminar presentations and the candidate will provide input into presentation content and delivery. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: 
- DVM, MD or BSc(nursing) - PhD in progress related to public health or infectious diseases - Prior experience as a GTA or in a teaching/mentoring role. - Familiarity with the University of Guelph’s learning management systems (e.g., CourseLink). - Experience with grading, facilitating discussions - Knowledge of academic integrity and accessibility best practices.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
Mondays from 8:30-10:30 and Fridays from 8:30-9:30.
Period of the Work Assignment (Start Date and End Date): 
September 2, 2025 to December 22, 2025
Wage Rate (per hour, per semester, per Full-load 1.0 Work Assignment): 
GTA $49.43/hr; $6,924.98/semester effective 2025/26
