- Moderate and oversee the organization all department Seminar Series and Mini-pitch sessions. - Workshops and presentations to be held in person. - Attendance monitoring/recording - Monitor Courselink discussion board - Provide feedback to students for workshop deliverables. - Communicate with students and faculty to promote the Department Seminar Series.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of POPM*6100 or equivalent. - Enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Guelph. - Background in epidemiology, public health, veterinary medicine, or a related field. - Demonstrated understanding of course content and learning objectives. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience presenting research at scientific conferences. - PhD candidates preferred. - Prior experience as a GTA or in a teaching/mentoring role. - Familiarity with the University of Guelph’s learning management systems (e.g., CourseLink). - Experience with grading, facilitating discussions. - Knowledge of academic integrity and accessibility best practices.

Thursdays from 2:30 pm-4:20pm and as discussed with instructor.
