When applying for this work assignment, please be aware that the delivery of the Mathematics Learning Centre will be in-person. Candidate will be required to work in-person during regular Mathematics Learning Centre hours (Monday/Wednesday 9:30AM - 3:30PM, Tuesday/Thursday 10:00AM - 4:00PM, and Friday 9:30AM - 2:30PM EST) as required.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
As per the Collective Agreement, must be a registered undergraduate student in the Fall 2025 semester. Enrollment in an MSCI, MATH, or STAT major or minor having completed at least 10.00 credits. A thorough understanding of material in introductory level mathematics courses: MATH*1030, MATH*1080, MATH*1160, MATH*1200, and MATH*1210. You are required to provide evidence of scholastic achievement or ability in the course/subject area relevant to this work assignment. You can obtain a copy of your unofficial transcript from WebAdvisor to include it as a part of your application.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Completion of at least 15.00 university credits. Demonstrated excellence in mathematical reasoning and ability. The ability to tutor students helping them understand the material without doing the work for them. Experience and demonstrated excellence in past TA duties or tutoring roles. Excellent communication skills.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
The schedule for the Mathematics Learning Centre will be determined near the beginning of the semester. Candidates must be able to commit to working 5 hours (not necessarily consecutively) each week, during the Mathematics Learning Centre operating times of approximately 9:30AM to 4:00PM. Operating hours of the Mathematics Learning Centre: Monday/Wednesday 9:30AM - 3:30PM, Tuesday/Thursday 10:00AM - 4:00PM, and Friday 9:30AM - 2:30PM EST.
Period of the Work Assignment (Start Date and End Date): 
September 2, 2025 to December 19, 2025
Wage Rate (per hour, per semester, per Full-load 1.0 Work Assignment): 
UTA $31.26/hr effective 2025/26
