GTAs will be an important part of the teaching team--they will not just be grading papers. They will also be asked to lead discussions and small group work during scheduled class time. The evaluation concentrates on skills of reading, writing and analysis--not multiple choice tests. Please note: GTAs must be available to attend some classes during the scheduled class time (Wednesday 7 - 10pm). The exact schedule will be established at the start of the semester.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Coursework, research and/or work experience relevant to the study of class and social inequality.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Active research interests in class, stratification processes, and social inequality. For example, in terms of labour and employment, education, poverty, elites, housing, or social movements.
