Required Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Guelph, and eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, and a passion for communicating research and ideas via oral, written and visual means. Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills are needed, plus abilities to conduct consistent grading (including written feedback to students), while adhering to grading deadlines. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be on campus and available from the start of the contract (January 2, 2026) to complete all assigned duties, available to attend all mandatory meetings, invigilation of IB exams as assigned, grade mid-term exams/papers, and be available to the end of the contract (April 28, 2026) to grade final exams/papers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Interests in human behavioural change, how science can change policy and practice, weaving Indigenous and Eurocentric ways of knowing, communicating with children, effective grant-writing, and/or technical skills (like animation, journalistic writing, infographic creation, or podcasting) are very welcome.
