Required Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled as a student in Fall 2026 and able to complete in-person responsibilities as needed;
• Must have credit for CIS*2430 or equivalent and in at least semester 5 of university (PLEASE ATTACH YOUR UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT TO DEMONSTRATE THAT YOU MEET THIS QUALIFICATION);
• Excellent English writing skills to facilitate effectively critiquing student assignments in written English;
• Must be available for at least 3 different lab sections to facilitate scheduling and instructional coverage in case of illness;
• Demonstrated prior experience communicating computer science concepts to students, both in written form and verbally;
• Experience with git;
• Experience with test harnesses and test suites, including Junit;
• Demonstrated development experience using the Java programming language and an OO paradigm;
• Proficiency in use of Linux using command-line tools;
• Demonstrated proficiency with java build tools such as maven or gradle.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous successful TA experience supporting CIS*2430 (Object-Oriented Programming);
• Significant prior experience with test driven development and junit;
• Experience with GitLab;
• Experience with Gradle;
• Experience using Docker desktop to run docker containers;
• Experience using Jupyter or JupyterLab;
• Experience using help desk systems;
• Experience installing software on Windows OS, including modification of environment variables;
• Experience installing software on MacOS with homebrew;
• Applications that include the applicant's unofficial transcript will be preferred;
