Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. Candidates must: (1) be an MLA or graduate student with a BLA; (2) have the capacity to handle design critiques in studio and in public forum; (3) have experience in providing constructive feedback; (4) have extensive coursework in landscape architecture; (5) have capability in GIS applications or community design; and (6) be highly organized. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be available on campus to complete all assigned duties as determined by the instructor(s), available to attend all mandatory meetings, and available until the end of the contract to invigilate and grade final exams.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Looking for candidates with a specific interest in gaining teaching experience and working directly with students in developing their design projects.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
T/Th 1:30 PM - 2:20 PM and 2:30 PM - 5:20 PM Student applicants are responsible for checking their own course schedules to ensure there are no conflicts with the TA assignment schedule.
Period of the Work Assignment (Start Date and End Date): 
September 8, 2026 to January 7, 2027
Wage Rate (per hour, per semester, per Full-load 1.0 Work Assignment): 
GTA $49.43/hr; $6,924.98/semester effective 2025/26
