The grader will mark 5 problem assignments at regular intervals during the semester. The total time requirement is estimated at 40 hours, and it will be necessary to complete the marking in a timely fashion immediately after the deadline date for each assignment in order to ensure prompt feedback for the students. The marker will deliver the completed assignments by hand to COLES. This course covers energy resources and the production, transmission, inter-conversion, consumption and waste of energy in the industrial society. Emphasis is placed on environmental impact and human safety. Topics include fossil fuels, nuclear fission and fusion, wind and solar power, the hydrogen economy, and conservation strategies. Invigilate final exam - 3 hours

Required Qualifications: 
B.Sc in Physics
Preferred Qualifications: 
Preference will be given to students who have taken the course PHYS*3080 in either lecture and DE format
