Candidates will be required to work remotely, primarily through the University’s CourseLink system, during regular University Instructional hours (8:30 am to 10:00 pm.) as required.  Duties may could include, but are not limited to, Grading, Disciplinary Facilitation, Educational Technology, monitoring lectures, Course and Content Development.

*Due to the PANDEMIC, GTA duties will potentially change as the semester progresses depending upon the needs of the Chemistry Department.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Applicants must: a) be enrolled in a Chemistry graduate program with an emphasis in structures and bonding, b) have completed a B.Sc. degree in chemistry (4th year, M.Sc. or Ph.D.), c) have taken CHEM*2060 or equivalent course, d) must be capable of intellectually contributing to the grading of assessment markers (projects and take-home final exam), e) must be familiar enough with course content to design, create, and run ad hoc tutorials, f) have experience teaching in chemistry laboratories, and g) be able to demonstrate previous satisfactory teaching performance. Applicants must also have competent oral presentation skills. This is not a laboratory position, it is a lecturing position, providing a tutorial and answering questions related to the tutorial and course content. The candidate must have a profound understanding of the course content in CHEM 2060. Selection of successful candidates will be made in accordance with Article 11.04 of the CUPE 3913-1 collective agreement. Assignments to particular courses will be made in accordance with departmental needs and procedures.
