Required Qualifications:
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. Applicants must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in the English language. Applicants must have experience in limnology, including field sampling techniques, identification of macroinvertebrates and bioassessments. Familiarity in biology of polluted waters, aquatic toxicology including bioassays is required. Comfortable using various electronic platforms to interact with students on their own and simultaneously with the instructor. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be available from the start of the contract (Sept. 8, 2020) to complete all assigned duties, available to attend all mandatory meetings, invigilation of IB mid-term and final exams, and be available to the end of the contract (Dec. 24, 2020) to grade final exams/papers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Students with experience with research in field settings and who have experience writing and publishing peer reviewed scientific papers.
