Required Qualifications:
Applicants must:
a) Be enrolled in a chemistry graduate program in an area of organic or bio-organic chemistry
b) Minimum one year of research experience.
c) Solid knowledge of the chemical literature.
d) Have completed a B.Sc. degree in chemistry.
e) Have experience demonstrating first year chemistry laboratories. (Chem 1040 and/or Chem 1050 or equivalent at another University)
f) Have completed the required safety courses.
g) Have completed additional safety training as prescribed.
Applicants must be able to provide documentation indicating they have completed the following training programs: Lab Safety Training (EHS), WHMIS Training (EHS), Worker Health & Safety Awareness (EHS), Accessible Service Provision (CourseLink) and Making Education Accessible (CourseLink). Selection of successful candidates will be made in accordance with Article 11.04 of the CUPE 3913-1 collective agreement. Assignments to particular courses will be made in accordance with departmental needs and procedures.
