Please note that grading extends into the fall semester. This work agreement runs from May 11, 2021 – October 14, 2021.
Required Qualifications: 
Graduate students at the University of Guelph eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. Applicants must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong background in biology; solid experience in ecological research under field conditions. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Solid background in experimental design. Solid background in experimental design. Proper use of statistics would be an asset. Experience teaching and supporting students in a virtual/remote context. Skills in taxonomic identification of local flora and fauna. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be remotely available from the start of the contract (May 11, 2021) to complete all assigned duties, available to attend all virtual meetings, grade student submission, and be available to the end of the contract (October 14, 2021) for grading final projects.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
Regularly scheduled synchronous classes Begin the week of May 10 and run until the end of June on Mondays and Wednesdays, 10.30-12.00 and 14.30-17.00. Attendance at all classes is required to support students in their learning and the instructors in the digital engagement activities. Support of students throughout the months of July/August may be required. Please note that this work agreement has an end date of October 14, 2021.
Period of the Work Assignment (Start Date and End Date): 
May 11, 2021 to August 27, 2021
Wage Rate (per hour, per semester, per Full-load 1.0 Work Assignment): 
GTA $42.73/hr; $5984.76/semester effective 2020/21
