Required Qualifications: 
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. The successful applicant should have a strong working knowledge of plant anatomy and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to be able to direct and evaluate student efforts. The applicant should be able to demonstrate to the students hand sectioning and staining of plant materials for light microscope observation. Having a good knowledge of the proper usage of the light microscope and a willingness to assist with preparation of plant material for other methods of observation are desired assets. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be available on campus to complete all assigned duties as determined by the instructor(s), available to attend all mandatory meetings, the dates for invigilating and grading the midterm, and available until the end of the contract to invigilate and grade final exams.
