Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. Applicants must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), familiarity with ecological research in field settings, excellent experimental design, statistical and computing skills, and have the ability and aptitude to communicate clearly and enthusiastically to undergraduate students. Extensive experience with R software is mandatory. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be available from the start of the contract to complete all assigned duties, including some lecturing/class prep, available to attend all mandatory meetings, be fully flexible and available for multiple weekly meetings with student working groups, and serve as a statistical consultant on experimental design, coding, and analysis. TA’s must also be available to invigilate IB exams and be available to the end of the contract to grade final papers.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Prefer students with aquatic background and proven experience with research in field and laboratory settings and who have demonstrated experience writing and publishing peer reviewed scientific papers, research proposals and/or experience with the peer review process.
