Required Qualifications:
• As per the Collective Agreement, must be enrolled as a student in the Fall 2022 semester.
• Normally, the completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• The ability to communicate computer science concepts to students effectively, both in written form and verbally.
• Have completed CIS*4300 (Human Computer Interaction) or a similar course with a minimum grade of 75%.
• Demonstrated skills in user interface prototyping (low to high fidelity).
• Demonstrated skills in evaluation techniques, e.g., heuristic and user testing.
• Must have excellent written skills and be able to effectively critique user-interface designs and edit written works.
• Given the shift towards online and hybrid course structures, all teaching assistants are required to maintain an internet connection strong enough to perform the duties required of their position during the duration of their contract. Potential TAs should apply with the understanding that a need to adapt to changing teaching situations may be required within the duration of the semester.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous successful TA experience supporting CIS*4300 (Human Computer Interaction).
• Experience developing User Interfaces for mobile devices.
• Knowledge of commercial User Interface prototyping tools.
• Experience with Lean UX will be considered an asset.
• Proven practice using Agile methods will be considered an asset.
• Industry experience in the design and evaluation of user interfaces.
