Other Course Description or Assignment Information: 
The Graduate Service Assistant will work with the Department Chair and Associate Chair to support the cyclical program review. Tasks will include: the design of quantitative and qualitative data collection tools; extensive data collection and extraction from a variety of sources such as stakeholder surveys, course outlines, graduate and undergraduate curriculum and other program information sources, etc.; data analysis, drafting of technical reports, and communication of findings. The University of Guelph has vaccination and masking policies that may be altered with limited notice depending on COVID-19 circumstances and advice from government, public health authorities, and prevailing science. Currently, the vaccination and masking policies are paused but may resume with little advance notice to address the health risks. Should this occur, vaccinations will be required. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
- Sociology PhD student, must be ABD - Strong skills in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis - Experience using Qualtrics as a data collection tool - Experience creating Excel spreadsheets - Sound knowledge of undergraduate and graduate SOAN programs demonstrated through teaching, teaching assistantships, and course content development - Knowledge of University Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion policies - Strong critical thinking skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Demonstrated ability to translate technical information clearly and accurately to a variety of audiences - Excellent interpersonal skills - Attention to detail - Excellent time management and organizational abilities - Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Days and Times Required: 
Approximately 10-15 hours per week; to be discussed and arranged with supervisor (Dr. Vivian Shalla). Successful incumbent to report hours bi-weekly to be paid.

Wage Rate (per hour, per semester, per Full-load 1.0 Work Assignment): 
GSA-1 $43.73/hr; $6125.96/semester effective 2022/23
