This GSA position will assist the current Data Analyst II at McLaughlin Library with virtual one-on-one quantitative statistical consultations. Please note that while this posting is for one (1) semester work assignment, there may be a possibility that the successful candidate could be extended into the Fall 2024 semester. The University of Guelph has vaccination and masking policies that may be altered with limited notice depending on COVID-19 circumstances and advice from government, public health authorities, and prevailing science. Currently, the vaccination and masking policies are paused. With the evolving nature of the pandemic, public health measures may resume with little advance notice to address the health risks. This GSA position will assist the current Data Analyst II at McLaughlin Library with virtual one-on-one quantitative statistical consultations. Additionally, this GSA position may help create digital objects (LibGuides or modules) and / or carry out other statistics-related duties.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of CUPE3913. Applicants must have excellent inferential statistics knowledge (e.g., ANOVA or regression). Applicants must have statistical analysis competency in at least one software - R Studio or SPSS. Applicants must be able to translate complex knowledge to different levels of expertise.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Knowledge of a broad range of statistical tests is an asset (e.g., Chi-square, correlations, t-test, one-way ANOVA, factorial ANOVA, linear regression, binary logistic regression, logistic regression, poisson regression, et cetera).
