The total number of assignments is a low estimate of the number of available appointments. This course includes weekly scheduled 3-hour lab/tutorial sections, which will be delivered in-person. The position will require every full-time teaching assistant to run regular weekly time commitments OF AT LEAST TWO OF THE SCHEDULED SECTIONS. The University of Guelph has vaccination and masking policies that may be altered with limited notice depending on COVID-19 circumstances and advice from government, public health authorities, and prevailing science. Currently, the vaccination and masking policies are paused but may resume with little advance notice to address the health risks. Should this occur, vaccinations will be required. Other Duties Described: 
Candidates will be required to 1) Attend meetings with the Lab Coordinator to complete lab work prior to running the lab sections. 2) Contribute to creation of tutorial materials and tutorial quizzes, in advance of running the tutorial. This work will be coordinated and supervised by the Instructors and Lab Coordinator; associated meetings will be scheduled during the semester, as needed. Candidates are expected to communicate with supervisors and co-employees in a timely manner, and to adhere to work deadlines as they are presented. MANDATORY in-person GTA meeting will take place the first week of the semester within business hours. Date & time will be communicated prior to the start of your contract.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
B.Sc. in Physics, Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications: 
Completed 1 TAship in Physics, demonstrated experimental skills, successful completion of experimental courses at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year level.

M: 11:30am-2:20pm, 2:30-5:20pm, 7:00-9:50pm T: 8:30-11:20am, 11:30am-2:20pm, 2:30-5:20pm, 7:00-9:20pm W: 11:30am-2:20pm, 2:30-5:20pm, 7:00-9:20pm Th: 8:30-11:20am, 11:30am-2:20pm, 2:30-5:20pm, 7:00-9:20pm GTA will be required to attend all mandatory TA meetings and training, including introductory meeting/training to be scheduled Jan 4-5, 2024 EVEN IF you have already TA'd this course before. The position will require every full-time teaching assistant to run regular weekly time commitments OF AT LEAST TWO OF THE SCHEDULED SECTIONS. TAs are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled assignment, or early if needed and arranged by coordinator.
