This course will cover stress biology/welfare basics; the causes of stress (but also resilience) in wild animals facing climate change, urbanisation, boat noise etc.; some 'compassionate conservation' topics (eg how to reduce death rates during translocations); welfare in wild animals in captivity; and ways to refine working with animals in the field (e.g. trapping etc). The TA can be remote, and will be responsible for helping with course content (making a background in stress biology important), monitoring discussion boards, and also grading assignments.
