Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Applicants must: (a) be enrolled in a Chemistry graduate program, (b) have completed a B.SC. degree in chemistry or a related field, (c) have previous experience teaching in chemistry laboratories (CHEM*1040 and/or CHEM*1050 or equivalent at another university), (d) be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching and satisfactory teaching performance, (e) be able to demonstrate an ability to create and maintain a safe work place, (f) have experience running chromatography and spectroscopy instruments, (g) Applicants must be able to provide documentation indicating they have completed the following training programs: Lab Safety Training (EHS), WHMIS Training (EHS), Worker Health & Safety Awareness (EHS), Accessible Service Provision (CourseLink) and Making Education Accessible (CourseLink). Selection of successful candidates will be made in accordance with Article 11.06 of the CUPE 3913-1 collective agreement. Assignments to particular courses will be made in accordance with departmental needs and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: 
(a) Experience with GC, HPLC, AAS, ICP-OES, GCMS and LCMS, (b) Research area should be in the area of analytical chemistry, (c) Previous taken CHEM*3430 as an undergraduate student or previous experience as TA for CHEM*3430 would be considered an asset, (d) previous experience as TA for CHEM*2400/2480 would be considered an asset
