This GSA position will be divided into two parts. For the first half of the summer term the GSA will aid Dr. Kimberly Francis with fleshing out chapters of her current book project: Siren of the Occult: Marcelle de Manziarly. This GSA would help with the transcription of archival documents and the fleshing out of the chapter on Indian Karnactic music in the late 1920s. For the second half of the summer term, the GSA will aid Dr. Alyssa Woods in collating and curating research materials on hip-hop and religion for publication on the website Godflow.ca and in the book Temptation and the God Flow: Coming to God in Hip Hop. Hours are flexible. All duties for this position can be carried out remotely. The position will be supervised by Dr. Kimberly Francis and Dr. Alyssa Woods. The University of Guelph has vaccination and masking policies that may be altered with limited notice depending on COVID-19 circumstances and advice from government, public health authorities, and prevailing science. Currently, the vaccination and masking policies are paused but may resume with little advance notice to address the health risks. Should this occur, vaccinations will be required. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Graduatae research experience, a background in music, enrolment in the IMPR program
Preferred Qualifications: 
Experience working in website development would be an asset.
