GTA for the Student Workshop. The GTA unlocks the tool crib after hours for the students to work on their design projects ensuring that the tools are used safely and returned to the tool crib at the end of each session. They also provide advice to the students on how design and build their projects and use the tools. The University of Guelph has vaccination and masking policies that may be altered with limited notice depending on COVID-19 circumstances and advice from government, public health authorities, and prevailing science. Currently, the vaccination and masking policies are paused but may resume with little advance notice to address the health risks. Should this occur, vaccinations will be required. Required Qualifications: 
Required Qualifications: The successful candidate will have: Must have successfully completed ENGG*2180 with at least(70%) • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills • An enthusiastic and professional attitude towards teaching • Completed up-to-date Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training and other related safety training • Lab Safety and Work Health & Safety Awareness training courses • Has completed the SOE Machine Shop Red Card Training • Machine shop/manufacturing experience • Demonstrated competence with CNC machining and operation of machine tools
Preferred Qualifications: 
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates meeting the required qualifications will be evaluated on the following criteria: • machine shop skills • knowledge of different machine tools, hands on experience, theoretical background about different processes and tools • Knowledge and experience about machine ship safety training (green, yellow and red) • Experience in maintaining the trainee’s database Applicants may be invited for an interview.
