Required Qualifications:
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. Applicants must have strong communication skills (both written and verbal), basic knowledge of plant taxonomy, structure and function, and familiarity and experience with plant ecological research in field settings and should also be familiar with the principles of experimental design and statistical analysis. Applicants must be enthusiastic about teaching and providing feedback to undergraduate students in order to help them achieve course learning outcomes. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be available on campus from the start of the contract to complete all assigned duties, available to attend all mandatory meetings, invigilation of IB exams, and be available to the end of the contract to grade final exams/papers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer applicants with prior experience with doing research in field settings and who have experience with writing papers describing the results of scientific research, either from prior coursework or thesis research.
