Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. GTAs must have taken FARE*3310 Operations Management or an equivalent course. They must display good computer skills although knowledge of course software is not essential. The GTA must possess an undergraduate degree in business (agribusiness). A good understanding of CourseLink is required. The GTA must be available approximately 1-2 hours per week for virtual office hours. These hours will vary to some extent to allow additional time closer to exams and assignments. The GTA will also be required to mark individual assignments and two examinations. The GTA may be required to mark weekly assignments/quizzes, conduct help sessions, supervise and mark exams, mark in-class projects, and assist with preparation of classroom material. Excellent communication (spoken and written) and computer skills are expected, as is the capacity to work independently within agreed guidelines. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be available on campus to complete all assigned duties as determined by the instructor(s), available to attend all mandatory meetings, and available until the end of the contract to invigilate and grade final exams.
