Required Qualifications:
• Must be enrolled as a student in Winter 2026 and able to complete in-person responsibilities.
• Must have excellent writing skills and be able to effectively critique student assignments in writing.
• The ability to communicate computer science concepts to students effectively, both in written form and verbally.
• Demonstrated background in Computer Science (e.g. the completion of an undergraduate CS degree).
• An advanced knowledge of computer security that includes network security, threat landscape, threat intelligence, attack methods, intrusion detection, access control, the common criteria penetration testing, security technology and security policies, cloud security, and threat risk management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous successful TA experience supporting CIS*4510 (Computer Security Foundations), CIS*6510 (Cybersecurity and Defense In-Depth) or CIS*6540 (Advanced Penetration Testing and Exploit Development).
• Have completed CIS*4510 (Computer Security Foundations) or CIS*6510 (Cybersecurity and Defence-in-Depth) or a similar course with a minimum grade of 80%.
