Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Guelph,  possess research expertise in animal welfare and have completed ANSC2210 or ANSC1210. Strong communication skills, time management, and organizational abilities are essential. Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail, a willingness to learn about farm animal welfare, and the ability to provide consistent grading with written feedback while meeting grading deadlines. TAs should also be willing to participate in lectures when needed, particularly if unfamiliar with topics that are assessed in assignments, and attend those lectures to gain the necessary context. By applying for this TA position, you agree to be on campus and available from the start of the contract (January 2, 2026) through to its end (April 28, 2026). This includes attending all mandatory meetings, invigilating exams as assigned, grading mid-term and final exams/papers, and completing all duties in person.
Preferred Qualifications: 
B.Sc. Agr. Or B.Sc. Animal Biology. Experience with FeedbackFruits is considered an asset, as this tool is integral to the course’s oral presentation component.
