Candidate will be required to work during regular University instructional hours (8:30 AM to 10:00 PM EST) as required. Duties for TA work assignments in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics include other ADMINISTRATIVE duties (mid-term and final exam invigilation, course evaluations, and other departmental duties specified by the Chair). Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
A bachelor degree (or higher) with a major or minor in Mathematical Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline with significant mathematics and statistics courses. Knowledge and familiarity with the course material. Current enrolment in a graduate program in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Biophysics, or Bioinformatics. A strong knowledge of the course material is required.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Demonstrated excellence in mathematical and statistical reasoning and ability, especially as directly related to this job position. Experience and demonstrated excellence in past TA duties or tutoring roles. Excellent communication skills plus familiarity with CourseLink would be an asset. Knowledge of R statistics software is an asset as well.

Also note the university holiday closure from December 24, 2026 until January 3, 2027, you will not be expected to work during that time. Be prepared to return to work for this work assignment on January 4th to January 7th.
