Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 
Graduate students at the University of Guelph, eligible for employment in Unit 1 of Local 3913. Candidates must: (1) be an MLA student; (2) have experience and skills in planting design and the utilization of design principles; (3) have sound knowledge of plant materials - identification and cultural adaptation of native and introduced plants useful in cultivated landscapes and natural areas; and (4) be able to lead weekly plant walks and invigilate tests. By applying for this TA position, you are agreeing to be available on campus to complete all assigned duties as determined by the instructor(s), available to attend all mandatory meetings, and available until the end of the contract to invigilate and grade final exams.
Days Required and Wages
Days and Times Required: 
T 2:30 PM - 4:20 PM and Th 2:30 PM - 4:20 PM T 7:00 PM - 7:50 PM student applicants are responsible for checking their own course schedules to ensure there are no conflicts with the TA assignment schedule.
Period of the Work Assignment (Start Date and End Date): 
September 8, 2026 to January 7, 2027
Wage Rate (per hour, per semester, per Full-load 1.0 Work Assignment): 
GTA $49.43/hr; $6,924.98/semester effective 2025/26
