We have an exciting roster of events lined up for the Winter 2024 semester! 

MakerSpace Workshops

Empower your entrepreneurial journey with our Makerspace Workshop Series! From sewing to 3D modeling and digital content creation, these hands-on sessions will equip students with essential skills to ideate, prototype, and launch innovative ventures whether starting a business, crafting prototypes or merch for an investors pitch, or launching new product lines. Crafting enthusiasts across campus looking to further enhance their skill sets are also welcome.

All MakerSpace Workshops will take place at the John F. Wood MakerSpace, located on the first floor of Macdonald Hall at the University of Guelph.

Learn to Laser Engrave

Learn to Design in Canva

This workshop will walk you through how to use Canva in creating digital content for school assignments, student group promotions, and for social media. Learn all the tips and tricks to making captivating digital designs.

Future You Series

The Future You Series allows students to explore some of the many paths to entrepreneurship. During these one-hour sessions, students can delve into various avenues of entrepreneurship including social entrepreneurship, patent readiness, self-employment, and traditional entrepreneurship which are led by successful entrepreneurs in the field. Aspiring students will walk away inspired to use business as a force for good, knowledge on entrepreneurship, and a network of local business owners and freelancers. Unlock your entrepreneurial potential with the 'Future You' series!
