The John F. Wood Centre LaunchLab Expo
The LaunchLab Expo showcases the innovative ventures of student founders from the Hub Incubator’s LaunchLab program. This event provides a platform for these emerging entrepreneurs to present their ideas, field questions, gather valuable feedback, and gain experience in a trade show setting. This drop-in event is a great opportunity to meet student founders, explore their ventures, and network with fellow students, faculty, staff, and industry and community members. Plus, you’ll have a chance to vote for the People’s Choice Award!
The 2025 LaunchLab Expo marked a successful conclusion to the winter term, celebrating the achievements of 9 student founders representing 8 innovative start-up companies across the Food and Beverage, Veterinary Medical Devices, CleanTech, Agri-Tech, and Bio-Tech industries. The event facilitated networking among industry professionals, community members, mentors, faculty, staff and students. Attendees had the opportunity to explore product showcases, sample food innovations, and cast a vote towards the People's Choice Award for one company to win $500 towards their venture.
The John F. Wood Centre is proud to host this annual event, which highlights the entrepreneurial talent emerging from the University of Guelph and helps students build connections with the community and industry professionals. Stay tuned for next years LaunchLab Expo in March of 2026!

It put our product front and centre in front of prospective customers and partners, and we had a constant loop of feedback for almost 5 hours which is transformative to any business. Event Details
Purpose of Event
This is a drop-in event where you will have a chance to chat with student founders, network, and participate by voting for the People’s Choice award.
In attendance will be industry professionals, our mentors and advisory board, faculty, and representatives from the John F. Wood Centre and Lang, among many U of G students too.
Parking Information
- Attendees can park in Lot P31 at the Visitor Kiosk
- Wood Centre representatives will be there to direct folks to the correct lot

- The event will take place in the University Centre main floor at the University of Guelph
- Attendees can drop-in anytime from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
