Wood Centre LaunchLab Expo
The John F. Wood Centre is delighted to announce the inaugural LaunchLab Expo!
Situated within the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph, the Centre’s mission is to provide transformational learning experiences through entrepreneurial thinking and empower a new generation of business leaders.
The Hub Incubator LaunchLab program is underway this term for 8 selected student entrepreneurs who have validated their ventures and are learning further integral business concepts to establish their innovative companies.
This third and final step in our Hub programming is an intensive program that will culminate with this grand Expo event where each company will have a booth to showcase their businesses to the public. It will also entail a pitch competition where they will be judged for cash prizes.
We would love for you to join us in celebrating these hard-working students with entrepreneurial dreams that are becoming a reality.
Event Details
Purpose of Event
This is a drop-in event where you will have a chance to chat with student founders, network, and participate by voting for the People’s Choice award.
In attendance will be industry professionals, our mentors and advisory board, faculty, and representatives from the John F. Wood Centre and Lang, among many U of G students too.
Meet the Student Founders
These eight companies, represent three distinct industries – food, agriculture, and technology, and were selected to participate in the Hub Incubator Program after undergoing a rigorous application process.
Parking Information
- Attendees can park in Lot P31 at the Visitor Kiosk
- Wood Centre representatives will be there to direct folks to the correct lot
Event Location
- The event will take place in the Univeristy Centre, main floor at the University of Guelph
- Attendees can drop-in anytime from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
