Welcome to the Office of the Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies!

The College of Biological Science (CBS) is internationally recognized for its world-class research in the life sciences. Our mission is to expand the understanding of life, from DNA to cells to complex ecosystems. Currently, we have 100 full-time faculty, 50 full-time staff and more than 300 graduate students making important discoveries about health, nutrition, ecology, evolution, genetics, neuroscience, physiology and more. CBS researchers receive approximately $20M in funding for basic and applied research every year, and our faculty, students and research staff publish over 300 peer-reviewed scientific articles annually.

Research and graduate programs in CBS are overseen by Dr. Graham Holloway, Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies.
