Photography

The photography curriculum encourages cross-disciplinary, experimental, and hybrid forms of making, with a focus on materiality and conceptual thinking. A wide range of facilities support digital, analogue, and historic practices. These include a Mac computer lab; black and white and non-silver darkrooms; digital and analogue equipment; a fully equipped lighting studio; as well as archival and large-format print production facilities. The department also provides experiential learning opportunities, such as site-specific photo installations and exhibitions, both on campus and in the wider Guelph community.
