This course explores criminality and the criminal mind in Italian film noir, thriller, and ‘cop movies’ from the postwar period to the present. It examines the collusion between crime, politics, and society, the homegrown Italian terrorism of the 1970s, and post-millennial representations of the connections between mafia and other criminal activities.
